60 years of excellence in competiton for running, jumping, throwing and walking

From 12 years old to Seniors and Masters - Ringwood is the Club for you

A win is a win is a win, Tan Relays 2022 - 2023

While it is Division 6, we will take the win to finish the season.  With a couple of our juniors away for the school holidays Callum Settle and Tom Linnett ran in the senior men's team to enjoy a win with Mitch and Ben who have been knocking on the door through the season and PB's all around.  Tom and Callum move to the top of their age best performances for the Tan.

Our U16 women had a good tussle at the top end of their competition and came in fourth with Erin and Ruby moving to the top of their age group performances and Chloe to a second spot.  The senior women came 9th with a wide variety of ages running, good to see Shannon bookending the season with another relay race.

A good finish to the season.  On to the Pizza night.

National Cross Country 2022, Silver medal

The National Cross Country Championship was held on Saturday at the Oakbank Racecourse, Adelaide.  While you might first think a cross country on a racecourse would be pretty easy but the word "brutal" used in the race articles by Athletics Australia tells another story.  Mud, sand and no relief was the common thread for the day.

Tom Linnet ran the U14 3km race and came in 17th of 88 starters and was the 5th Vic to finish which gained him a silver medal in the teams race.  Tom described it as the toughest race he had run in, and he was one of the earlier races.

Erin Marriner ran in the U15 4km event, in a combined race with the U16s.  Erin finished 22nd of 66 starters (U15s) and was the 4th Vic in her age group, taking a few scalps for her effort.  The girls also had to contend with being the last race of the day after nearly 1000 athletes had churned up the course.

Fantastic efforts by all and a long drive there and back for the families.
